Sometimes I sniff them out, but mostly with my fingers.

It depends on how you look at the world, There are those who want save the planet and believe that people are the problem and the earth will only truly heal when the human race has become extinct, I live in the moment and love all off humanity even our failings, as we cannot learn if we do not fail.

As others mentioned... some at least.

Alan Watts once defined 'cosmic consciousness' as "the feeling that you live people, but can't explain why."

Vonnegut commenting on Twain, from: [imagejournal.org]

"Vonnegut declared himself “a skeptic of the divinity of Christ…confirmed of my skepticism by Mark Twain in my formative years.” He then cited these words of the author as “a profoundly Christian statement, an echo of the Beatitudes:”

-- When I find a well-drawn character in fiction or biography, I generally take a warm personal interest in him, for the reason that I have known him before—met him on the river…. --

“The river, of course, is life,” Vonnegut said. “Mark Twain is saying what Christ said in so many ways: that he could not help loving anyone in the midst of life.”"
