Whoever those 2 people are, please block me too!

Carin Level 8 Jan 28, 2019

I really wish we could see who voted for that. But it's probably safer for the bigots to remain anonymous...

@Kafirah I have a very hard time blocking people so I hope they will block me. I'm not very good at computers.

@Carin it's up to three votes now. I feel confident that they are all cunts. Whether they know it or not. And I hope they read this.

@kafirah ugh. Please please block me bigots!

A phobia is an irrational fear of something. It's usually uncontrollable. I'm against that, but people can't help it, so I don't hold it against them. But if you mean hating trans people just because they're trans people, well, that's just being an asshole and that I'm definitely against.

That is indeed what I meant, display the common colloquial misnomer.

3

Who people are is up to them. None of my business.

2

I have an open minded person and willing interact with a trans person. Mostly religious fools have a problem with trans people and that is a shame.

2

I’m definitely against transphobia and bullying members of our LGBTQ+ community. I’m sorry you had to experience that horrible message. It would be very unsettling for me.

Thank you. It was unsettling. Ruined my night, actually... But it inspired me to let the community know what kind of person was lurking in their midst pretending to be a great guy... That isn't to say that he isn't generally a good person... However, it was a pretty thought out transphobic ad hominem personal attack because he was presented with evidence that obliterated his confirmation bias about someone he has feelings for... Make of that what you will, I guess... It is certainly a glaring character flaw.

@Gooniesnvrdie ruined* autocorrect loves fucking up my sentenced at the last second. I should type slower.

Experiencing it daily..if you have an issue with transpeople keep it to yourself..cause if you bring it to me..there will problems.

@Gooniesnvrdie no..I get In their face.

@Gooniesnvrdie oh no..more like rip their Balls off and shove them down their Throat, nutsack and all...I learned quick to brooch No Bullshit from Anyone..A.N.Y.O.N.E..

@FatherOfNyx what an incredibly ignorant statement. Look guy..1)you don't wake up and say I want to be a woman That morning.2)You do have to see a therapist Before you can Begin testosterone blockers, then wait for Estrogen treatments.3) then it's more meeting with therapist and/or psychologists.4) then it's time for an orchiectomy(google it).5) Wait for your GRS(google it) up to 5 years..it a 3.5 to 4hr procedure..then 6 weeks recovery, just from the surgery.
So smartass wanna play stupid games?..bring it!

@Charlene Holy menopause.. it was a joke. Do they not have those when you're from?

@FatherOfNyx another misogynistic pun? Really? So you think the shit I, and other trans put up with is somehow entertaining?..btw I wasn't joking in my responce..I used metaphor to describe my level of fight responce..it's become much more threatening out there since DRUMP took office.4 trans women have been killed in the first 3 weeks of 2019 alone..think on that for a moment.

@Charlene You told me to bring it, did you not? You're the one talking about ripping balls off and assuming that it's only men who can be transphobic, so if you're going to be a dick, expect to get dick back. I also knocked your age.. "when you're from". Was that misogynistic too?

@Charlene I love it when people have conversations with people I can't see (FatherOfNyx) and it reconfirms why I probably have that person blocked. LOL

@FatherOfNyx "where I'm from" was an insult?...lololololololololol.
When the people that harass me are 97% men yeah, I will RIP their balls off and shove them down their throats..metaphorically..perhaps you missed that part of my previous response or you're to young to understand that word, in either case, meh.
Yes women harass me.. but in No way is it as physically threatening as with men..

@Charlene "When" not "where". I mean, maybe you'll be able to read that after a 3rd time? I know those one room schoolhouses didn't really educate well, but I'd think they'd at least teach the difference between when and where..

@FatherOfNyx oh for fuck sakes..lolololol..ouch, don't hurt me like thaaaaaat,,,ooouch..that all you got kid?..?????

Wouldn't it be better to talk to those on the fence versus pushing them off to the other side?

I don't have time to wait for people to evolve, especially when they might just as easily go the other way and double down on their hateful ignorance. 50/50's terrible odds. And I am not a gambling type of gal. On other, more sensible and reasonable topics, yes, that is a good practice.

@Kafirah It's not evolution, it's education. People fear what they don't understand.. and if you care about being accepted, you should try to enlighten those who lack understanding. If it fails and they flop to the other side of the fence, then you can do what you were going to do anyway. I'm just saying, you made a post rooted about acceptance of your life.. while making it clear you won't accept people who are just lacking understanding.

@FatherOfNyx No. It's hateful ignorance, based on fear, and those that can't see that are a waste of time to try and convince. Try deconverting every Christian you know. Or even just one... How long do you think it would be before you gave up and considered the whole endeavor a huge waste of time?

@Kafirah I wasn't talking about people already on the other side of the fence.. If you find someone who hates your for being you, fuck em. Again, I'm talking about the people sitting on the fence. If you push them over by being a dick just because they don't understand, then you've help create more soldiers for the hate army. Hate breeds more hate.. and if you truly care about being accepted (not just getting attention) then you shouldn't be negative towards people who are neutral or on the fence.

@FatherOfNyx I don't want to be negative to them. I want to be completely invisible to them. They can get their education on the subject somehow else. It's not my job, and I'm no one's poster child.

@Kafirah Fair enough, but telling them to block you right off the bat is slightly negative. I would just think it'd be better to educate them on your PoV before Redneck Randy does.. but to each their own.

@FatherOfNyx actually, it's completely neutral. They won't have to deal with me and I won't have to deal with them. The negativity comes from the hate inherent in transphobia, which I am not the originator of. Avoidance is not negative, it is neutral. If they choose to listen the wrong informational sources, that is their problem, not mine. I will never know, as they won't exist for me. And we are all responsible for our own actions. If those individuals you speak of don't have the moral compass to know not to hate others for poor reasons, then they are a waste of time from the very beginning. Again, that's not my job to teach them right from wrong. That lies on their's and their parents shoulders. Not my responsibility.

How can one be "for" or "against" fear? Either fear exists or it does not. Liking it will not change that.
I think the question could be more concisely phrased.
That said, you do you (could I be more cliche'?). I will never understand the impetus to change one's body, but I will not malign anyone for their choice either.
Do you really want to alienate anyone who retains any measure of "phobia"?
To some people the idea of gender transformation is wholly new, strange and foreign. Some fear or fear-like emotion probably exists. Give people a chance to assimilate before throwing them under the bus.

I didn't pick the word, and you are correct that the Latin roots the word indicates a form of fear. I don't know what the Latin root for hate is, but that's irrelevant, as you understand exactly what I mean without the arguing over semantics...

I hear what you are saying, and normally is agree, but it is a hate based emotion and I don't need that in my life, not so I want to waste time waiting for people to evolve. They can do that without me.

Edit: *I'd not that misplaced "is"

I like this a lot, Dave. Very well said.

4

Do you mean am I for transphobia? I am not of course. Just not understanding the question. Sorry my ex-hubby's aspbergers has rubbed off on me a bit. My nephew is trans. He fills me with joy. He has a job, a girlfriend and is off to university soon. Very proud of him.

That's correct. Are you for transphobia? You would vote "no". Because you're awesome.

6

I found the anger at the question more interesting than the question. I'm in the school of one's gender is one's own concern, certainly not mine.

You are top notch Mr Wulf

It is awfully telling, isn't it? I'm not sure people think others see them through their words... But they do. 😉

2

I am opposed to anything irrational, and fear of sexual preferences and dispositions is irrational. It is also not constructive, instructive, or productive. I understand it, but that in no way means I have to accept it.

2

I am opposed to all such phobias, although I have not completely satisfied myself with the idea that "phobia" is the perfect word to describe the condition. Certiainly people, generally, are afraid of that which they do not understand, but while I do not propose to understand transgenderism, I am not afraid of it, nor does it engender fear in any way whatsoever. I am not gay, but I have never feared homosexuality. I do not understand my dislike for certain tastes and textures, but I do not fear them. Rather than being afraid of the transgener phenomenon, I strongly suspect that many are simply put off by its having become such a sensitive issue in the parade of issues that demand politically correct responses. Otherwise, the chief troublemakers are political and religious "leaders" who have seized upon the matter and turned it into what it has become in the public eye. I find it just another example of people wanting to tel other people what to think and do. It's all rather sad, in addition to being a genuine source of despair.

It isn't the correct word, but there isn't an alternative to fall back on that is generally accepted... Yet.

Have you experienced a lot of transphobia on this site?

@Gooniesnvrdie Last night... What now, smart guy?

@Kafirah Sorry to hear about that. You should report that person.

@joeymf86 Thank you. Don't worry, I did.

@Gooniesnvrdie I didn't say it was. I said if you are, block me and remove yourself from my life, because you are unwanted in it. That might only eliminate one person, but that one person will not be missed so it's no loss. In fact, if everyone isn't transphobic, as you suspect, then that would be even better as I'd not be missing anyone, now wouldn't it?

@Gooniesnvrdie that's trans bashing and it's equivalent to racism... Wake up. Or do we just allow racism too? If your answer is yes, please block me.

@Gooniesnvrdie Sexist, racist, homophobic, and transphobic comments should be reported. People making those comments are assholes and should be ashamed for acting that way not only on this site but in the real world too.

Not usually, but I've seen more than a couple examples recently, and this is an attempt to minimize it in life, if possible. I have high blood pressure as it is...

@Kafirah It is not equivalent to racism. Your people were never slaves.

@CallMeDave I think @Kafirah was saying that it's equivalent to hate speech whether you are calling a gay person the "f" word or a black person the "n" word.

@Gooniesnvrdie it was trans bashing precisely because the entire conversation had nothing to do with trans anything. Ad hominem, and bringing my sexual identity into it for no reason is like fighting with a black person and yelling the n-word at them because you couldn't support your argument claims. He picked the one thing he thought I'd be sensitive about, the one thing he knew about me that was something I have no control over, and tried to use it as ammunition against me... I'd link to the post so you could see the context for yourself, but it's already been removed by the Powers that be... But that's irrelevant, because that one sentence is trans bashing, pure and simple. No context or excuse will make that one sentence acceptable in any way unless he were telling me what was the worst transphobic comment he'd had ever heard/read. You know, because he was pills have been quoting someone else. But no, those were his thoughts expressed in his own words. His hate made real. Hate speech will not and should not be tolerated.

Edit: would* not "was pills"

@Gooniesnvrdie I agree with that . This site is very open to ideas and transgender is one of many issues tossed around. To get upset with this site perhaps reflects that you are not completely settled down in the transgender world. There will always be stupidity and that will never go away. Ignore is the best thing to do. I am certain this site provides a lot of positive support also and that is the gift here. No worries about what others think, worry only about your own thoughts.

@Gooniesnvrdie it's a simple concept. Don't confuse the issue or yourself with semantics...

@Kafirah Wow, are you ok? Thats awful lovey. I want to say take no notice of the ignorant fool but that must be painful to experience. I am sorry you have to encounter that.

@Amisja I am mostly okay. It stung, as insults, or perceived insults tend to do, but it is a poor attempt from a poor intellect. So I'll shake it off. However, if you are ever in his neck of the woods across the pond, feel free to let him know not to come here. There are more than a few ladies waiting to meet him here, and only one of them for any good reasons.

@CallMeDave wrong. My people are Irish and we most certainly were slaves right along side the African people and the Chinese. You need to research your history. But again, that's irrelevant and a straw man argument as it most certainly is because the definition of racism has nothing to do with slavery, and only to do with the hatred of a person for being from a certain race. i.e. for something that they have no control over, like their ancestry, skin color, nation of origin, sex, gender, age, sexual identity, sexual orientation, and other protected classifications.

@joeymf86 exactly right.

@Gooniesnvrdie there are different levels of okay, and yes, it slightly upset me. That in no way demolishes what other teams folks are going through. Is it minuscule by comparison? Yes. Did it effect me negatively? Yes. Is that a fair comparison? No, as it falls squarely into the relative privation logical fallacy. Nice try though. And in not whining. I said I was mostly okay. Which compared to being completely okay, I was not. I will be again soon. Like as soon as you stop badgering me with all these poorly thought out logical fallacies or block me.

EDIT: Trans not "teams" and I'm not "in"

@CallMeDave Wrong, there is a large proportion of AfroAmericans in Our community..unless you have direct proof of your statement of course.it's a blatantly moronic argument..we ain't all White and upper class..

@Charlene moronic. Very telling. When your position lacks all substance, resort to name calling. Brilliant.

@ joeymf On many an occasion..in different forums..of course the OP expected me to back down..This Transwoman Doesn't backdown, sit down nor shut up..

@CallMeDave I said your Statement was moronic..it's also sophmoric..

@CallMeDave that wasn't name calling. She was ridiculing your argument, not you.

@Gooniesnvrdie So owning emotions is a bad thing? Come on now.

Enough with the nitpicking. This sucked enough without adding you to the badgering.
