Apple Facetime Bug lets someone eavesdrop through someone else's phone without consent. Fix should be out later this week.

Just turned off FaceTime on my phone.

No plotting corporate takeovers until it's fixed! 😉

The main difference between Apple products and others, is the price. Why pay 3 times as much for a device with similar capabilities, especially when they are ALL made in China?

I have a $30 Android phone and it does plenty. Doesn't mean I wouldn't like one with a nifty camera attached? But fpr the rest of the tech? Not needed.

This one does fine as GPS for mapping in a car etc... $30. If I ever drop it in a toilet - it won't owe me a thing.

@RavenCT $30? That makes it less than 3% of the price of a fancy Apple!!

Which is why I'd never own an apple product..

Android and iOS have their own strengths and weaknesses. There isn't an all secure phone because every platform's greatest weaknesses is the user.

@Squirrel ok...

@Charlene I won't buy Apple anything either, just saying

@Squirrel you can only purchase apple compatible products as well..they gouge people bit by bit..

I'm so glad I generally don't engage in any of that stuff.

Me either but my Grand Niece and her Grandmother in CA do all the time. And overhearing family might just be the very worst you can do!

I learned that with mis- sent text messages.

@RavenCT , Like my grandson did when he sent me a nude photo of his husband 😉 It was my second phone and I didn't know to click on it to see the photo. I just thought it was a mannequin until he came back with 'so sorry, wrong person.'

@freeofgod Hahaha! That's hysterical!

Mine was a message from one sister to the other - that wasn't very flattering about my life choices. That didn't smart at all.

"Reminder to check who you've addressed it to before sending when it's sensitive.".
