Am I wrong in assuming that most people here have seen the movie Idiocracy? It's my fave documentary.
It's my favorite documentary behind Falling Down.
My friend keeps suggesting it to me. It sounds amazing!
Assumption and presumption are the mother of all fuck ups lol. I've never seen it but it sounds interesting.
Check it out!
yes I will thank you
I keep telling people were already there. Gods are ridiculous, but most people follow one. Most countries are ridiculous, but most people cherish whichever one they live in. I'm pretty sure most people are guilty of doing both and will gladly do so even at their own expense. Unfortunately, that last sentence is a fact here in the US with plenty of room to spare.
Love, believe they could have done it better,
sadly, the concept of populating the planet with brainless breeders isn't fiction.
Even among all the kids who come here, and all of whom are at least slightly smarter than average, very few have kids, and they are the least smart of the group. On the other hand one of the kids I know who is far from bright, typical rev head, always drunk and in debt, has 4 daughters to 4 different girls, and his younger brother has 2.
I don't think enough people have seen this movie.
Too prescient for comfort.
It actually addresses the "breeding" problem I have brought up here.
Evolution is true and continues. It does not mind if we are idiots.
Someone in my comments to that point said something like " No secular speakers say we should all be breeding to increase our numbers". True. But perhaps they should.
I liked the movie. It was fucking funny, but I do think there premise is a problem. Meaning that the world IQ is going down because low IQ people are breading more than high IQ people.
JeffB - do you not think that is happening?
@suesue2222 not at all. Here is an example [apa.org]
@JeffB That is encouraging.
Interesting.
