I'd love to experiment with plastic casing to grow and shape fruit within!

Seems like the most fun I could have with a 3d printer!

Have fun! There are molds available to do this as well if you don't want to print out your own...

@Secular_Squirrel I think only certain fruits would work for more fine details...the skin and the moldability of the fruit inside would be factors...I also have only seen very simple geometric or simple shapes other than the Buddha pears...if you were to do your own molds, I am guessing that the amount of detail will be limited as well...you will have to do some test runs...also, the shelf life of the fruit would have to be considered...I have see some really detailed soap molds but those are pourable...sounds like a fun experiment ... be sure to do some market research or else you might be eating a lot of fruit...ha ha ha
