Does anyone else have this type of problem... It's so hard to find affordable, comfortable, and attractive shoes to fit my extra-wide size 9 EE feet that are also in pain all the time from neuropathy. I can't wear heals or pointy toes or anything too flimsy or strappy, but I refuse to wear orthopedic-type shoes that look and feel like big ugly blocks... And right now I need to find a decent pair of dress shoes, which makes it even harder. Everything I'm finding is either ugly, clumsy, painful, or way too expensive.

My late wife was a Postal letter carrier, she had to wear Men's sizes in shoes, everytime the shoe supplier came(they get shoes once a year),she had to explain the size differences to them.,and show Womens sizes would not fit her feet, try Mens sizes.

Not sure what you are considering expensive...Clarks also makes some decent ones in extra wide...or, try sites that sell shoes to drag queens...they have larger sizes and funkier styles...

I thought about the drag queen shoes... a lot of high heels though!

I only wear a 7 and I have a hard time finding shoes that make my feet happy.

i wear vinyl sandals from walgreen's, even in the snow. i have neuropathy too, also extra wide feet, and my toes won't tolerate closed shoes. they're not dressy but i've seen uglier shoes that purported to be dressy. anyway, i don't care! i wear them because they're the only shoes i CAN wear. they're also cheap.

[walgreens.com] these are the two colors i have because that's what walgreen's carries. i understand that dawgs makes them and has more colors. i shall look now.

@genessa They're actually kind of cute. Note dressy enough for what I need, but I may consider a pair.

@bleurowz they're all i ever wear, rain, shine, snow, brrr! even if i dress up, i wear 'em. if people can't understand, too bad for them 🙂) i looked at dawgs' website and a bunch of them were on sale, and a bunch in colors i don't have (i only have tan and black) were not. but they had other styles i hadn't seen, all REALLY casual, makes the ones i showed you look positively formal by comparison! plus i can't afford to buy enough to earn the free shipping. but you know what i used to wear all the time before i injured that big toe just ONE time too many? chinese cotton maryjanes!

g

@genessa Ooh, I love chinese slippers! Years ago I had a pair in dark red velvet. I'd love to find another pair that could fit my wide feet... If people have a problem with the shoes you wear, too bad! You wear what works for you.

@bleurowz i used to find them on ebay and they fit fine, and my feet are wiiiiide lol. they also swell, which doesn't exactly thin them down. it took me a while to figure out they were called maryjanes so i could search for them, though. i just always thought of them as chinese shoes!
