However... just thinking about it now, if Sanders had won the primaries and became the Democrat's nominee in 2016, he probably would have beat Trump. Had that happened, and we were talking about this being the second term for Sanders, I don't think I'd hesitate to vote for him again.

I understand. I would have voted for Warren or Sanders earlier because their stances both aligned with mine. Now, however, Warren seems to be trying to move more to the middle. I will vote based upon stances on the issue always. If it were Sanders against a black female Democratic Socialist I would vote for her, for the sake of diversity. But diversity in the actual candidate for me will always be a secondary consideration behind their stances. But of course I am a white male so this argument coming from me may have less validity.

Government is there to interfere, they are there to look after the people, they are there to make laws so people have clean air, can drink the water without being poisoned, can have a job that pays them a living wage, can buy that medicine that they need without it costing more than what they are earning, so yes Government interference is what is needed. What you don't need is lobbyists, lobbyists who give money to politicians and corrupt them.

What we have now is the unlimited ability by our government to tax (steal) from us by force (don't pay taxes, go to jail.). You are incredibly naive if you believe in and trust the government. The only thing I agree with you on here is the aspect of crony capitalism (which I only partially agree on because I have a feeling you agree with those who believe capitalism is inherently evil and has some dark agenda, it doesn't). I know there are dishonest businesses out there and the crony capitalists who are in bed with the government and receive unfair competitive advantages or outright monopolies from it. Furthermore, the corruption of politicians by special interest all originates within the government. The supposedly democratic system itself allows this. Who pays for all of that. He already tried a version of medicare for all in his home state, it failed. Everything is legislated and gee, I sure as hell don't feel like I live in a utopia. Our biggest boondoggle, High Speed Rail (something I completely disagree with as an investment in infrastructure) just failed after going 10s of billions over-budget. Our government is working overtime at all levels making laws to "protect us." I feel no safer. What we need is less government, not more. Bernie represents the epitome of someone who wants to expand government exponentially. No thank you!

Bernie in reality (looking at his past stance on many issues) is the same as the other 2 I listed in my original comment. @Heidi68 No I don't think him being better because he is old. I think it makes him more experienced. Just like I think I have more experience in life that a 30 year old. I also think that Bernie is more known than any other young politicians, that doesn't mean that I think they are any less. You need to realise that most people don't know much about politics or politicians and what they stand for and they certainly don't go out of their way to find out, no matter how unfortunate that is.
