Just because we are left doesn't mean we unequivocally trust the government. It is the duty of all citizens to stay involved, it is our vigilance that keeps government working for us.

It worked for Stalin.

Libertarians fear that the government will misuse its power. Liberals already know government is corrupt.

@Bobby9 They don't. They want to get more from what we already have by eliminating redundancies, corruption, and self aggrandizement.

Salutations, fellow Libertarian here. My overall politics lean heavy to the right, but I find balance in the LP though.

What is far to the left? All of Bernie’s policies are supported by the majority of the population, making him.. the center.

@Biptu If you vote third party you might as well stay home or vote for your dog.

@Sticks48 nooo! That's the thinking that allows the RvD two party system to continue unchallenged!! The more people that vote 3rd party, the more they will look like they are worth voting for, and the more it will encourage others next time!!

Democrat and Republican parties have gone to shit! Corruption is inevitable after a while. The law of entropy. We need new parties!! Vote 3rd!!

Unless you really like one of the main candidates..

@Bones And if you don't like any of the three or four candidates? In a country as divided socially and racially as is the United State,s you could have ten parties and never find the person who would make most of the people happy. If a third party candidate did win, do you really think either party in the Congress would work with him? Do you think they would want him to succeed? The way to change things is turn over the Congress when they don't respond to the people. The voters can change it just like that, but they generally won't, especially when it comes to the Senate. They will and did do it to the house this time. Adding a third party a candidate usually puts the person in office whom that candidate likes the least and whom his followers like the least. There isn't a government on the planet that isn't corrupt. It is a matter of degree. A third party candidate will not fix that problem.

The government has been misusing its power since Theodore Roosevelt and the controlling of the economy through oil, fear mongering, press manipulation and the worst religion.
