Lots of great music on the site tonight! Here's one for any 'ol long haired freaks and hippie chicks interested in how this song has held up over the decades. This song (Originally by Crosby, Stills & Nash) by CPR: David Crosby, lead Jeff Pevar (Rickie Lee Jones - Ray Charles - Starship etc) and the biological son James Raymond he met for the first time the night before his liver transplant in '94. This is the band that was put together several years afterward. Watch Crosby's pride-full face as he 'feels' his son's beautiful piano solo, and Pevar as is usual, kills it with his solo:

Beautiful! Love the changes/contrast in the meter...back and forth between 12:8 and 4:4. Thanks for posting, I'd never heard this before. I play for living... how 'bout you?

I blew it. I played classical piano from age 5 to 15. Had lots of certificates from the National Piano Guild, but once I got that first taste of a woman...that was done. Too stupid to realize that being a musician was the ticket for that endeavor! Duh!

There was this documentary I saw while living in Vegas of David driving crazy the other members of CSNY due his dependency. Such a shame but happened a lot on those days... now is about money. Those were great times regardless. There is the story that Neil Young was in the Woodstock performance and he requested not to be included and to be edit out. Those days of being pissed off.

Neil Young addresses some of this in 'Hitchhiker' on the 'Le Noise' album. He documents his drug use in this song and with some great lyrics:

Then came paranoia
And it ran away with me
I couldn't sign my autograph
Or appear on TV
Or see or be seen
See or be seen
Or see or be seen.

@Highway-Starr He wrote "the needle and the damage done". Can not be more brutal and honest than that. They all got my Respect.
