Climate change is a reality, from human pollution ie co2 from many sources but not all is caused by human as per following.
Over many thousands of years shifts in the Earth's orbit and orientation relative to the sun have led to DRAMATIC changes in CLIMATE and are certainly one of the key mechanisms that drive the Earth into and out of ICE AGES . It is perhaps obvious that these long term shifts in climate should have had an effect on the evolution of life;ICE AGES present a significant challenge to animals and plants, and this will provide an evolutionary response via natural selection
. More surprisingly recent research has suggested a direct link between precession, the 400,000 year eccentricity cycle and the evolution of early modern humans.
But these does not excuse humans from curbing the output of co2 gasses, every step must be taken to stop an increase in global warming or face the peril.

We stand on the precipice of run away global warming but, thanks to a small number of very rich men having a disproportionate influence on the politicians of the world little to nothing is being done to curb fossil fuel use. The fact that world demand for fossil fuel continues to rise knowing what we known tells me that we are screwed. The world economy is based on constantly increasing growth and wha t has lead us to this beyond anything else is fossil fuels. I doubt that the majority of the human race is willing to accept zero or negative growth and that is what the limiting of fossil fuels will do. Who wants to be the politician that runs for office on a platform for zero or negative growth?
Because of these two things I believe human like the frog in the slowing warming pot will eventually boil ourselves.

I agree, we are having an overly outsized influence on the global climate, our wasteful lifestyles and our over population need to be changed. It is unlikely we will change our ways until forced to and by then it may be too little too late.

I don't really care, as long as people get out from under Big Oil control. Clean air and quiet, on-demand e-transportation sounds lovely to me.
