I suspect many quiet liberals also live around you. They have been in hiding, but the savage political situation is finally getting them out, including me. I gave up voting long ago, because no one listened to my vote. Now, it will matter again. The future may not be rosy, but we are now in a fight for existence because of Climate Change. Unfortunately, the conservatives see existential military and terrorist threats as greater, and ignore climate change.

Liberals are, I hope, coming together to take control, and work to remove all threats, whether real or imagined. People need to feel safe.

Good luck in your search. I find that there are more members in states that I consider shitty and unlivable (former Confederacy or nearby) than the more liberal, accepting places (like where I am). Is it because this is an escape for the terrible reality outside where there's less of that nonsense here and people are more free to be themselves away from a safe forum like this? Hmmmm....

Living with Self Righteous mouth breathers is the worst. I seem to attract bat shit crazy, so I am done with relationships. If you ever want to talk Super Heroes or Video Games, I worked in the industry for about 10 years and one of my favorite games was City of Heroes. Best MMO ever. I also like horror flicks and I am always looking for some new show, comic or game. I'm a Nerd.

I also tried many dating sites and was quite disappointed. It seems most guys are only interested in hookups. It would be nice to find a guy who is a real friend with a like-minded world view. Considering I live just south of you in oklahoma I completely agree with you on how hard dating is around here. I've pretty much given up looking until my kids are grown because they have this "evil step-mother" issue with pretty much everyone I've dated.

I love in Alaska so the crazy people we get usually stick to themselves. It's much more libertarian up here than it is conservative.

I have that issue with intelligent people around my age that I can communicate with. I communicate better with older women due to the fact that they have a more complete understanding of the world.

It's hard to expand your horizons when for the most part you're forced (I'm assuming) to believe a certain way by the entire community around you. I haven't really been out of fairbanks, AK and I know how that is. I can see the same cycling mindset in most of these people that gets them stuck here. It's easy, I will admit that. It's easy to fit in when everyone wants you to fit in. However, when you don't want to do what everyone else wants you're an outcast.

Personally I don't really date. I don't like wasting my time with someone I'll date for 3-4 months, never develop a real emotional attachment because they don't understand how I talk or think, and then break up. Basically it's like fucking someone until they're done and I don't like that, so if rather be single. Some people aren't like that though. I prefer to wait until I see someone that catches my eye. Then I can go and get a feel for them before I make a decision.

You do have the option of moving - I know - sometimes easier said than done -
