Doing right for right's sake is obviously the 'only' mindset to have but I don't like the idea that a theist can manipulate an act of kindness by a non believer so that their god can have domain over an atheist.

                                        It's the last paragraph that I agree with the most.  Doing something right because it's the right thing to do, not because of an imagined reward from a diety.  It just reinforces that morals and values are learned behavior and not a decree from a diety that most religions would profess.
