I have noticed several profiles recently of people who are followers of Jesus; 100% sure there is a god. I am curious as to what would compel a theist to join a site like this. Did they misread the site name and think it's a gathering place for Gnostics? Are they here to proselytize? Does hanging with heathens and infidels increase the value of the faithful in the eyes of their "creator"? I am not "religiophobic", so I don't mind sharing space with the faithful, but I am curious as to why "believers" would choose to be a Daniel and throw themselves into the lions' den. If someone would care to explain, I am, as Dumbo said, all ears.

This has been going on for quite a while. Especially lately. It's funny when some of these people do the same copy and past in the same post saying "I'm looking for a good girl...". Need help moving out of the country...

I don't think these people know that this is a forum of logic and reason...

Yes, I just noticed some woman who declares she's 100% believer, she has no profile written and having a gorgeous photo she says she want to meet men in this site of agnostics?

they may want to see how others think or be questioning themselves. Not all "throw themselves into the liions den"

I've found four main categories: "fake religious" who are actually scammers, "real religious" who want to convert us, "real religious" who respect others who don't share their beliefs and are interested in differing viewpoints (very rare, unfortunately) and "real religious men" who are gagging for it and think atheist women are more likely to agree to have sex with them than religious women are.

I suspect they're mostly spammers/scammers taking the machine gun approach to finding a sucker who will send them money. Best to block or ignore.

Usually really confused scammers not sure of their audience.

"Watchers"

And of course a Humanist could be re!igious. No rules against that. ?

I think most are scammers trying to get money or whatever. I've seen some too but they do seem to be deleted relatively quickly.
