Ground I thought we'd gained in my lifetime and now I'm not so certain. Sort of says it all.
Also I had no idea that my Douglas Adams group on FB had Trump supporters in it? We usually don't cover politics - but this seemed pretty light - until we found out what a mixed group we are. Flame war.

@CallMeDave Nichol and Majel Barett? It wouldn't surprise me. (I think that's Majel I'm not certain though).
Supposedly there was a torrid affair with Gene Roddenberry and Nichol Nichols.
I saw an "Insider Star Trek TOS" documentary and was just flabbergasted at what supposedly went on. lol The 60's were happening times.
After my Mom explained "Key parties" to me to explain why certain people needed to be careful about who they dated in their hometown - I realized my generation didn't invent a thing.
(No Mom was not a participant but I had a friend find out in her 20s that her Dad wasn't her Dad - it was pretty awful in fact.).
It is kinda amazing how people are so afraid of what is different from what they are. We cannot allow the corporate overlords to win the battle for the intellect of the American people, we can be better than this.
