Here is something I use when I am in the hospital or with a group of nurses: "I've had 4 surgeries to my left ear and 1 surgery to my left eye. And a tooth pulled on the left side of my mouth. And my left shoulder has been replaced. And my left knee was replaced but the situation went bad and i had another surgery on my left knee. I have diabetes and have nerve pain in my left foot.
But it is okay. Do you know why? And the nurses say "no" and then I continue with "Because I'm All Right!"

Me too, on the replacement parts....the good thing is, you can drive as soon as the painkillers wear off when they RIP your left side up......
