Actually every single time someone replies with anti science Trolling I am reporting them. I am asking that those who agree with me do the same. This is a problem that affects all of us and it must be addresed or there is no point in the continued existence of this site.

Is it a small minority or is it just that people don't want to engage the trolls and stay silent to avoid being targeted?

As I have pointed out repeatedly, answering the idiots wastes valuable time and I don't see the pojnt in letting them in to gum up the works in the 1st place. They have nothing of value to add to any discussion. They shouldn't BE a part of the discussion, period.

Sorry, but you live in a country where freedom of speech is a highly valued right. Even idiots are granted this right through our constitution.

That being said, while they do have the right to free speech, that right does not protect them from being mocked and ridiculed for spouting bullshit.

Yours and my right to free speech comes at a price, and that price is the obligation to hold accountable those who use THEIR right to free speech as a pulpit for deviant and divisive messages.

@webbew1 this is not a democratic platform. This isn't government. As many people do you seem to have misunderstood the concept. The right to free speech means you can't be prosecuted or jailed for speaking your mind. It does NOT mean that private citizens and organizations are required to tolerate your presence or opinions once you prove yourself to be worthless.

My grandmother told me when I was young that what people say to me or about me is about them and how I react is about me. so I prefer to say they have a difference of opinion than they are idiots because it isnt mine. If they call others names they should be called out on it. I am sure that is part of the sites rules.

Apparently the like button isn't working. I was on a page a couple days ago welcoming new member. Some Tumpster comes in and says we're fine but we are a lot of liberal idiots. Words to that effect anyway. Not the place on a welcome page.

Free speech is all well and good but any discussion of important topics gets constantly derailed by stupid, science denier bullshit. When I joined I had hoped this would be a place where ideas and solutions could grow but any chance of that gets choked in its infancy by fighting trolls rather than discussing options. More than being irrelevant, trolls destroy opportunities for positive change.
We have seen this effect happen in Senate where removing blocks devolved into all out flame wars. Nothing of consequence has been accomplished by encouraging the ignorant and attention seeking to speak.

@OpposingOpposum We have the option now of closed groups where the members have agreed on a moderator, we also all have the choice to ignore them. Banning from all of Agnostic should be the last resort where near unanimous agreement exists.

@Buttercup why? These people are WILLFULLY ignorant. They will not learn anything by being here and all they do is impede intelligent discussion and run off decent content creators. What possible advantage is there in tolerating them and enabling their bullshit behaviour?
