It took Ryanair 3trips and 4 tries to land in Santorini from Athens last week. I was actually getting pretty nervous on that bumpy fourth try.The Brazilian. Couple next to me prayed during the whole ordeal. When we finally made it, they immediately said "God is Good!" They were really a sweet couple and I was able to just keep my mouth shut.

I could not have resisted saying
"actually since your god was responsible for the weather that delayed us, I think it more likely it was my prayers to Satan that saved us, hope your god is not too pissed off that we lived."

Ryanair should probably pay their pilots more and stop employing the trainees.

Their god was toying with them! First he acts like he will kill them in a terrible plane crash, then he lets them off the hook and saves them. Gods are funny beings.

The survivors will praise god for saving them. The non-survivors would like to curse god for not saving them, but .....
Hence, we only hear from the lucky ones!

You have terrific control over your emotions.

To each their own, as long as it is not harming me or others.

Right after their outburst, I would've probably shouted "Pilot is good", or perhaps even a more complete sentence. Good for you controlling your mouth!

Very much this.

I guess those people travelling to Africa to give humanitarian aid and everyone else on that doomed Ethiopian flight were not favored?

People still they can alter their fate by muttering nonsense.

Too bad weird superstition like this is so rampant.

I would have at least said "the pilot is as well".

I usually do the same. I am not interested in talking every believer out of their faith, every time, everywhere...
