essentially he says, that the avg american is totally, inexorably f*cked.

What's not to love about him? He's smart as a whip and speaks truth to power. He is someone I've admired for years....
Part of what enables this is that industry has never had to deal with their own externalities, those things they pass along the cost to everyone else, like pollution.
