Criticism of Ilhan Omar is NOT bigotry. Nor is it a call to violence. This should not have to be stated in 2019. Her “some people did something” comments were the very definition of tone-deaf. She deserves the criticism. Imagine how she would feel if someone referred to the Christchurch shooting as “some person did something.”

So calling someone a “terrorist” and calling for her death is legitimate criticism for a poorly worded statement?

Your comment is unworthy of a response other than to say there is clear bigotry and call to violence. I will no longer comment on anything you say.

That’s nice, dear.

Many people have issues with criticism against a person, a group, a religion, a country. Basically they cannot handle a difference of opinion. If one makes a comment about Israel's expansionism into other areas around Israel it is called Jew bashing. These are people with a limited viewpoint of reality -- that other's disagree with them. I wouldn't water my time on them.

It is clear you are a racist. Ilhan Omar is a hero and has more testosterone than you!! 🙂🙂

This is how the Left dies. How is she a hero? She once asked a Minnesota judge to go easy on a group of Muslims that were trying to join ISIS. She voted AGAINST a bill which would criminalize FGM. She wants to defund homeland security. That’s your idea of a hero?

As a matter of fact it is bigotry and racist to take a very small portion of a speach and twist the meaning to suit your narrative.

Islam isn’t a race. How many times does this have to be said?

It's not the criticism that disturbs most of us. It's the actual use of language to incite violence... and starting from the President of the United States.

It was taken out of context. Read or listen to the whole thing before you comment and maybe you won't sound so ignorant.

I don't think she deserved the criticism. The quote was taken out of context from a speech she was giving. Omar was talking about America giving Muslim's second hand citizen status. Her words were not flippant, they were neutral, and the contested phrase did not go to the point of her talk.

Contrast this with Trump's overtly racist remarks taken against blacks, Mexicans, and Muslims.

Anyone can pull a phrase out of speech, and say whatever, this is ignorant and it is one of the favorite ploys of the click-bait hunger yellow pulp media who throw shade on the rest of the speech, as they play up their own bias.
