We need a new amendment to the U.S. Constitution, stating that "When three or more members of the U.S. Supreme Court when they believe that the president of the U.S. or any member of the administration is acting in such a way as to violate the U.S.. Constitution, threaten our democracy, or national security the Supreme Court is required to initiate immediate action to rule on the matter. If the Court finds that such a violation is occurring or has occurred, it has the power to direct the Justice Department to take immediate action to address the issue."

I always believed in our checks and balances until recently. It's a travesty. Watching 45 and his cronies get away with such crooked behavior is sickening.

Terrible idea. I put more trust in our elected representatives in the House and the Senate than in 5 Supreme Court justices. The Founding Fathers knew what they were doing.

How do you p[resume to know what the founding fathers intended? You sound like the constitution distorter Scalia. Besides, founding father Thomas Jefferson said that the earth belongs to the living, not the dead. When tradition carries more weight than reason and the solving of a current problem, there is a problem.

@wordywalt Your reasoning is terrible. Jefferson, Franklin, and many other founding fathers had IQs close to 200. They put the proper protections in place. Your solution would be a very dangerous one. I trust their intellect more than yours.

@BD66 My reasoning is not terrible. You simply label it as that because you disagree with it. That is unethical.

@wordywalt You can't change the constitution just to get rid of a politician you do not like. That would lead to anarchy.

@BD66 We need to get rid of all such politicians -- now and forever. That is not anarchy, but democracy and ethics in government. You seem to be defending corruption.

@wordywalt You need to turn off MSNBC, CNN, or whatever form of propaganda has you all spun up, and get out and live your life.

@BD66 I do not let any me3dia control my thinking. I did graduate work in political science and American intellectual hisroy as a part of my graduate program. I operate from knowledge and reasoning. Stop trying to label and detract. That is an irksome habit.
