It's Sunday. Easter Sunday, so Sunday on steroids. I live on CHURCH Street, irony of ironies. So all morning I get hear competing church bells and get to hear from passers-by, Happy Easter! and Been to Church yet? And my personal fav b/c it's just SO icky He's RISEN!!! (I get tempted to ask what sort of yeast god used....)

This holiday is so ridiculous! I was laughing at a preacher on the tele. It came on after the morning news (I was away from the remote). I couldn’t even stand “CBS This Morning”.

There's a church right across the street from me. They don't bother me at all. The children in their Sunday best are polite and the the Gay minister is very nice lady. Also I don't have to go there and they don't come here. It's our first warm spring day. It's nice here from now till November. We are going to a Seder/Easter dinner tonight. Why is this night different than other nights? There are more Christians that Jews by 1 this year. None of us practice.

How funny...I live on Church Street also....another place entirely. No churches too close by though!

Where I hail from originally in NEPA, the few churches that remain in my hometown have switched to using recordings of musical bells blasted over loudspeakers instead of actual bells. Here in NC, there are a lot of strip mall level congregations without any bells at all. Nothing from the hindu or Mormon temples either. The megachurches generally are in auditoriums, and again no bells. The Buddhists mainly show up for the food. Sorry you've got a ringing in your ears, I know it can be irritating.

I live across the street from a bar - Pissers Palace - it’s delightfully quiet (at the moment🙂

I used to live in downtown Savannah and there were lots of bells.

The Easter bells from all over is just kind of amazing.

The call of the hour gets old real fast.

@BookDeath It's an Easter Sunday thing. They do seem to go on forever.
