The only significant resistance that I have noticed on this site is a tendency to resist joining another non religious group as well as this one. What have you got to lose? What is so wrong with joining people who think and react to ideas like you do? All you need is not to feel that they know any better than you. Agnosticism is a good starting point as you can journey out in many directions. Just check the facts, man... and ma'm.

@Mcflewster different things work better on different people. What works here may not work elsewhere.
I've been a member of a local Free Thought group for the past seven years. I've made many good friends parties and attend our bi monthly meeting "religiously". Recommend this to everyone.
