Daily Blasphemy: Yes, I am bragging--but I'm a pretty good painter. This is a pic of me with some of my paintings in the local cafe. Occasionally, Christians will try to use that to coerce me: "why can't you recognize the God that gave you this gift?" Well if he did, ain't he a fucking idiot? Because I've painted a lot of paintings, each one as an unrepentant atheist. So he damns me to hell, but then gives me a knack for composition and an eye for color? And what's this gift worth anyhow? Monets and Picassos sell for millions, while my paintings sell...um, never. And here's a fun fact: both those guys were atheists, too. Remember Anton Levay...the Church of Satan guy? He was apparently a gifted musician. Where do we suppose he got that from? My painting is the result of nothing but years of practice, and hundreds of hours watching Bob Ross videos. And if a god had anything to do with that, then he was so benevolent and powerful that he gave me an eye to see things as they are...and to learn that he doesn't actually exist.

Half my family are artists, including me. We're related to Pablo Picasso on my dad's side, but my mom's side has many artists as well. My daughter has an art gallery and sells paintings online, on commission, and at art shows and fairs.
I showed my daughter Pablo's photo when he was seventeen years old, when she was the same age, and they looked like clones!

Attaboy! You tell it now it is to these idiots who think we can do nothing without the help of god. I get the same thing about my singing that you get about your painting. “Oh, god gave you such a gift to be able to sing so well, I wish I could “ ! I just tell them I did get my gift from my father, not one in heaven, but my real Dad, who had a wonderful tenor voice....it’s a genetic gift from him!

OOOh I love the fish! I see god gave you good looks too. Did you thank him or the genes that provide you with your artistic talent.
I hate it when doctors spend hours operating on some kid and then come out to tell the parents their son has pulled through. Then the first thing they do is 'thank god'.
