Well, from what I've seen working as a Nurse and assisting in Post Mortems, etc, as well being present at the odd exhumations, it AIN"T very pretty at all what happens AFTER we've 'fallen off the perch' to say the least.
I've been at the bed-side of many patients as they've died, never once seen anything remotely resembling a 'soul/spirit' departing the corporeal body UNLESS you wish to count the body evacuating 'waste' that is.
And an exhumed corpse is TRULY a rather disgusting, smelly and quite rank sight in deed.
I could be considered as quite cynical or even worse, BUT, when at a Funeral/Burial and the Priest raves on with " In the sure and certain Hope of Resurrection" bit, I always smile inwardly to myself thinking HOW can HOPE be sure and certain in the first place.

After you die the world will continue to exist, and your body will either be cremated or mummified or otherwise eaten by maggots. Anything else you want to know.

I know what will happen in my case if I die in a normal country (if not kidnapped, murdered etc.)

1. My medical power of attorney and the last will will kick in
2. Organs will be donated
3. Body will be cremated at the lowest cost possible
4. All belongings (clothes, papers) will be burnt too
5. Ashes will be thrown in a dust bin
6. Personal cash and belongings of value will be donated to orphanage or a local charity
7. 10 original death certificates will be obtained
8. My surviving family will celebrate doing anything of their choice (eating out, party, movie) immediately
9. No mourning will take place, no tears shed
10. No rites - religious or otherwise will be performed
11. All personal belongings at primary and other homes will be donated

I write a special travel will each time I travel and keep in the laptop bag I carry.

Someone you know comes and meets you and tells you it’s time. You walk off together toward the light at the end of the passage and catch up with each other on the way.
