How are you all doing today? We are living through some interesting times. The world feels a little unstable and we all have some major choices to make. Humans are inventive, we are creative and we are adaptable. We will be alright though. We have no choice. People are at their absolute best when we work together. So here I am, reaching out to you, sending love and asking after your well-being. Jayne x

I'm okay, thank you for asking. Things could be better but I'm sure they will be in the future. Thanks for the positive thoughts.

That sounds sweet and kind. Unfortunately, I feel it is hollow and sending love is like sending prayers. If you could pose an issue to be discussed we might have grounds for developing a Truthful interchange and appreciation that would by definition become a love relationship.

Thats the thing though Episto. There are people on here I have never met, nor am I likely to, but I like them and care that they are doing well. Happiness and joy are weird things that only happen rarely in life. Years ago I heard some colleagues talk about me. Saying how hard working and kind I am. I was stunned. My friend Anita said, "Shes had such a tough life, you wouldn't blame her for being bitter". I remember the effect that kind words had on me and have taken it forward ever since. There are trully horrible people in this world, but as much as I can...I choose to see the good in everyone. Its amazing because when you do, you find it. This isn't empty love. It isn't thoughts and prayers. It is genuine human affection across a vast sea and countless miles. I engage in conversation elsewhere. This was put here to send out love.

Amisja, Yes the attitude you expressed is wonderful to know. Gratitude is, in fact, one of the keys to the good life as it is one of the good stressors, relaxing the body's tensions, and psychologically satisfying that it demands all of our more noble expressions of kindness, joy, peace, and smiles and laughter. And yes, one appreciative/gratuitous act of one person to another, or in this case of one overheard can indeed be life changing as you have shared. I call those moments shared truth, some call them existential moments, that makes contact with your core self-image, values, and perspectives. I suspect your attitude for those colleagues changed towards a more truthful one. I think it forms the basis of love, but contend that love is broader and requires interaction. While I do believe love is a one-way attitude and is a choice one makes, I see it dependent on or growing from some form of truthful interaction. I think this is different than compassion, care, and seeing needs which may stem from love/truth.

@MissKathleen sorry

@MissKathleen Oh I thought I'd said something wrong

@Episto I was sending a heartful expression of my esteem to the members of this site. I am a Brit, I never encountered the religious based abuse a lot of the people here have. My family are all non-believers, as are a lot of Brits. The rest don't care. It is important to remind people that they matter, they are good and deserving of my positive regard. Words (even teeny little typed ones) matter. Yes, I can't really throw my arms around you all in a warm embrace, but please know, if I could, I would. I am often trully humbled by the courage I have seen here. It is worthy of my love.

Love back to you and thanks for the message. Self care here today..pain is trying to dominate. Trying a bath and a drink soon. One of those days that I wish I could have a pet.

Much love!

Appreciate the good vibe, back at you.

You are such a sweetheart! I am doing well. My biggest challenge is keeping up with my 94 year old dad who lives about 500 miles north of me by himself. I am his last family still alive. I hope you are doing well too. 😊

I am not doing too badly. I have a 75 year old Dad, driving around in his brand new Lexus. He thinks he's 25!

Thanks J. It's been a bit tough, long week, as despite getting May 1st off for a holiday, my team had to work today, Saturday, to make up the lost time. Double pay though . Then we found out that Pappy had probably made a huge financial gaffe for the past few years, he got a really frightening letter from the Tax Office in France that we are trying to make sense of . No, nothing to do with Brexit or anti Brit sentiment. It appears the parents in law had savings of a more substantial value then they were letting on. Oh, the fun of going to the Tax Office on Tuesday with an 86 year old.

I'll say something cryptic. I am awaiting the hour of reprisal.
