It is coming close to Christian atrocities, persecutions, burning alive, harassment, crusades, inquisitions and more of over 2,000 years but not quite there yet. Therefore, both must be destroyed.

You and I are both living on a land today that Christian have occupied after killing millions of native Americans. Know the Muslims have not done it here.

All facts:::: So, upon a historical basis, you are justifying islam's soldiers continue to spread their fascism through a terror attack every five hours?

That was 500 years ago. No comparison.

Islam: Declared world war in 610 AD. Today: 24% of the population on earth are now subject to Sharia.

Islam: Spread by the sword for 1300 years. And still expanding.

Both bad, no justification

@Tiramisu Now is the issue. The last "inquisition" occurred in the 1880s.

@Jacar now is not the issue, if bad or not is the issue.

@Tiramisu Yes: and islam is bad. Making 400 million women live in body-bags is bad. I have no tolerance for that.

@Jacar An increasing number of people in the world do not have tolerance for Christianity, Islam or any other religion any longer.

If you think that Christianity is as evil as Islam, you are in deliberate willful denial of current world events.

Sorry, but this is very stupid. If you want to compare two religions it is not enough to just post information on one religion. You can only compare if you provide data for both.
Also judging a religion only based on how many terror attacks are done in it's name is extremely simplistic. The "amount of evilness" should be measured with many factors.

In the big picture, both are bad.

@Dietl it is fair. The people in the Islamic world will destroy Islam, we live in the Christian world, we will destroy Christianity. Over time, we will rid humanity of all religions and it's ignorance, stupidity and allllll ills.

@Dietl 34,964 attacks since 9-11: this is a world war.

@Jacar You didn't read what I wrote, didn't you? Why not respond to something I said instead of acting like a drone?

@Dietl 3391 deaths in the name of Islam so far in 2019. I can't find any deaths perpetrated in the name of Christianity. There have been some terror attacks by "white supremacists". Maybe you can supply me with some information on current terrorism acts committed in the name of Christianity. Then we can do an objective comparison.
[thereligionofpeace.com]

@Dietl Not possible.

@PBuck0145 You make the claim that one religion is worse than another and you haven't even looked up the numbers for christianity. That is the big problem, not your conclusion. That you want to put the burden of proving your claim on me is ridiculous. Gather the data for both religions and then you might have a weak argument. As I said just looking at terror attack is overly simplistic.

@Jacar I'm sorry to hear that you have lost the capability to have a conversation, my smooth brained friend.

@Dietl Good diversion attempt. You are outing yourself as an Islam apologist troll. Better luck next time.

@PBuck0145 I just don't like bad arguments. Every religion is responsible for a lot of evil. I see no reason to single out one. You have a biased perspective on this issue and you still refuse to correct your error even after I pointed it out. You don't even argue against anything I said or explain how I outed myself. You have no justification why you only look at terror attacks from today when comparing the religions. You have nothing and you don't even care enough about being rational. All you have is your fear and anger. No data, no understanding. All that you have left is to call me a troll. That doesn't disprove what I said now, does it? I would also wish you luck but I don't believe that would cure you from your ignorance.

@Dietl More deflection. Supply me with some evidence of atrocities committed in the name of Christianity. Or, continue trolling if that gets you off.

@PBuck0145 You really can't read, can you? The inquisition and the crusades. What do you say to that? What about the christian support and justification for slavery, the conquest of the Americas, the wars within christianity like the reformation, the support for fascism and racism, all killing millions of people. The anti-abortion and anti-lgbt violence, the rise in white nationalist terror today, which is explicitly done on the name of christianity. Militant groups like the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda, which killed hundreds of thousands of people from 1987 to 2010, the ethnic cleansing in the Bosnian war... I could go on and on and on. If you really wanted to compare the two religions you would see that both were immensely violent. Just focusing on a few terror attacks today and even then only on the one from the islamists is just dumb. You want to say Islam is more evil? Then do the work count all the deaths together. Maybe Christianity killed more, maybe Islam but do you really think this bullshit will get us anywhere? We need to understand the underlying causes for all violence. Destabilasing muslim countries for decades and riling up hatred against this single religion obviously played a big role in the rise of islamic terror. Maybe you stop contributing to that for a start.

@Dietl Keep ranting. It is very entertaining.

@PBuck0145 Watching you squirm on the ground with no arguments is very entertaining too but also a bit sad to be honest. Must be a hard having no dignity left inside. I hope when I am old I have better things to do than spreading hate and 10 year old memes.

@Dietl You are obviously transferring your own experiences.

Humans are very adept and finding a difference that can be used to justify all manner of tyranny and exploitation, whatever the label the behavior is inherent in our species.

2

Anyone who criticizes ONLY islam for their violence, is usually ignorant, or a hypocrite.
Almost all religions have engaged in violence. Even the buddhists.
Most people don't even know the history of their own religions.
They're ALL violent and they're ALL harmful.

Edited for clarity

Correct, I thought the Buddhists did not kill until the Rohingya killings in Myanmar happened.

There are not many known and large incidents of violence by Buddhists except some in Japan and Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) centuries ago. King Ashoka (304-232 BCE), an emperor of India who regretted the killing in the war he won, accepted Buddhism and sent his 2 children to Sri Lanka to take the message of Buddhism and pace.

During the Thirty Years War (1618-1648), a war in which Protestants and Catholics slew one another in great, and bloody heaps, over 8,000,000 people died (out of an estimated European total population of around 30,000,000).Christian fanatacism has certainly been just as violent and bloody as the Islamic variety!

Christianity has been very violent, I agree. But it pales in comparison to Islam.

It pales in history or in recent years?

Not so sure about that. Do you have any data? facts? references?

How many people have died because of religion?

You will hear it stated and re-stated often that “religion has caused more violence than anything else in history” or some variation thereof.

This statement is provably false and historically inaccurate. Most wars have been about resources (give me your stuff), power (bow down to me, not some god), or political and border disputes. Only about 7% of all wars in history have been waged for religious causes, accounting for only about 2% of all of history’s war deaths.

That’s ALL RELIGION, not just the Christian faith. When we consider that half of history’s religious wars have been Islamic, and a number of them non-Abrahamic faiths, the Christian faith has been responsible for less than 1% of all history’s war deaths.

[qph.fs.quoracdn.net]

If you want to discuss incidents other than war, we cannot count the Holocaust as “religious” violence, since Hitler hated Christians and killed other non-Aryan races as well.

The Holocaust was genocide, not religious violence. But even if you count it, the total is between 16 and 31 million deaths due to religion in recorded history. Again, this is even if you count the Holocaust as “Christian” violence rather than ethnic genocide. If you don’t, the total is going to be from 10 to 25 million.

Other non-war violence will not give you a total of anything near another million.

For example, the Salem witch trials occurred in colonial Massachusetts between 1692 and 1693. More than 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft—the Devil's magic—and 20 were executed. Eventually, the colony admitted the trials were a mistake and compensated the families of those convicted.

In fact, anti-religion has caused more deaths than religion. Communist dictators enforcing their religion-free societies have accounted for more deaths than all the religious violence in all history. Mao and Stalin alone account for over 100 million deaths, and the Kims in North Korea are killing, imprisoning, and exiling Christians daily. These account for more deaths than all religions put together through all history, let alone just Christians.

@Tiramisu history from the beginning of each religion.
