Finally, no rain! The weather is beautiful this morning. I took the recycling out and let the chickens out. I made breakfast for my wife and son. We ate together, chatting about plans for school and the weekend. After I take my son to school, I'll go to my doctor's office for a blood test. I'm diabetic and have hypothyroidism. I'm a mosaic, so these are just two of the myriad of endocrine related problems I'm facing as I grow older.

What genetic issues are you dealing with?

Weather got good enough here for me to cut half my grass in between rains, and I'll get the rest before the weekend. I'm diabetic and take meds but eat and drink what I want to. My feet tingle and I walk in New Balance shoes with special inserts. My daughter just gave me a prescription cream for a rash and it is working. I'm a dinosaur but only see my doctor every 6 months. I get my 4 prescriptions in 90 day supplies most of the time. I'm getting older and find my free time is all computer and how to do music and TV with one, watching damned near anything that I want to. I'm now blocking ads with my router, alternate DNS, and programs installed on my machines. Life is good and mostly planned. What is missing these days is a female of like mind.

what do you mean when you say you are a "mosaic"?

It means I have an extra x chromosome.
