If you really want to stop the US government in its tracks, stop buying things. No more clothes, shoes, cars, boats etc . Buy groceries, buy gas, continue to pay for the mortgage, rent, insurance, but buy nothing else. It’s the only protest they will respond to.

If you think it will destroy the economy, well that’s happening anyway under trump’s shit trade war.

Imagine all the money you’ll save too.

I almost do that same thing now. I buy new shoes because I'm diabetic, but my clothes and many other things have come from resale shops for years. I live under the radar. I buy lots of items at dollar stores. My cell phone is cheap and my name is in no way connected to that phone.

@F-IM-Forty You have to know what to buy at what store. Prices of things are kind of like a pea that travels between 3 shells, so you have to be on top of prices.

@F-IM-Forty Food quality? Lots of brand names come from the same company. One thing I buy at Dollar stores is Mexican sugar. Some people actually ask me why itis brown.

@F-IM-Forty Yeah that's why I get 4 lbs. of Mexican cane sugar for $2.48 plus tax. This is pure cane sugar while ours is bleached white.

if that happened the parasitic bastards would respond with negative interest rates. what would happen to those on fixed incomes many of whom are already struggling with artificially low rates?
and then the big pension funds, state & others would use that as an excuse to drastically cut pensions.
but it would be worth the pain if would really cleanse the system. unfortunately, after the crash & burn the same evil sociopaths would still control the govt & financial system.

I am trying to get rid of stuff instead. I already have a jar full of money from stuff I have sold.

It wouldn't work. Trump would just claim victory and say that the citizens are upholding his desire to reduce the trade imbalance with China. Perhaps if each citizen, when buying anything made in China, sent an email to all their legislators telling them how much s/he had to overpay because of the tariffs, that MIGHT work. An email for EVERY ITEM, so that inboxes got flooded. But most Republican representatives are sucking up to Trump, and they don't care what happens to their constituents.

I try not to buy in stores. I wait until I can find what I am looking for in a yard sale. You would be surprised how often it happens.
