At this age, someone proposing marriage wants/needs a nurse or a purse, or both.......l

You said it and I really hope more women know it.

Never really agreed with the idea of marriage. Might be because I’m afraid of being stuck with the wrong person. I don’t make life long commitments after I left my cult.

Men say women like security, they like commitment, they want half of your property (lol)... what about that?

@St-Sinner good luck on your love life, nitwit!

  1. The institution of marriage is disappearing fast
  2. More states are granting spouse status, property rights and other rights to partners living together
  3. Marriage is overrated according to me
  4. Open marriage is also catching on
  5. Non-monogamy is also slowly catching on. Life is too short and precious be caught up in old ideas
  6. I think a relationship is a transaction in life where each party agrees to make the other happy. A real good relationship is in the minds and actions of partners - not even in I love you, diamond rings, holiday or Christmas gifts, greeting cards and flowers
  7. These old jokes will not be around for too long. These are from our parents' generation

Honesty is not ALWAYS the best policy!

Yes I found that out years ago when I said to my wife that her friend was beautiful... lol

@St-Sinner "... but not as beautiful as you, dear, not by a longshot!"

@BestWithoutGods ah, I will remember with the next wife. Thanks

A banker of mine told me a true story: One of his clients in his early 60s went for a physical exam. The doctor told him that he was in great shape and should life another 20 years or more.

He went home and called his children together for a meeting. In the meeting, he shared the doctor's prognosis, and stated, "If I am going to live another 20 years, I damned sure that I don't want to spend them with your mother. I am divorcing her."

I was married until my wife tragically drowned drinking too much wine while taking a bubble bath. That's the story I'm going with anyway.
