I am sure this sort of thing does happen, and if this particular photo were not staged, I would find it quite upsetting. However, you can see in the reflection in the window that there is no one sitting on the opposite side of the train, just 2 men standing, so if she wanted to sit down, there is probably lots of room.

I went to the ER last night getting checked out to make sure I didn't pick up something from a tick bite. I was laying in the bed and could hear a woman complaining that she can't sit anymore and needs to lay down. They said they were full up and her only option was to wait or go to the waiting room and wait there for a bed to open up. I thought that was dumb cause the waiting room chairs were worse. So I snagged my IV and quietly asked if I can give up my bed. I didn't want to ask loudly cause if there were some stupid reason that I couldn't give it up and have her hear me and get her hopes up.. but I could and they turned the room out in like 2 minutes and got her in there. Kind of a win win cause it forced them to hurry up with getting me discharged so I wasn't hanging out at the nurse's station and got someone a bed who needed it more.

Bad news is, they couldn't find anything wrong with me.. and for my first time taking muscle relaxers, doesn't seem like they do anything.
