Who went on a shopping spree and who gave back to the community?

What would you do?

Admirable. Gotta commend that church. Some church goers would find that extra cash helpful in paying off bills and groceries. And those that don't need the extra cash could send it off to charity - if they so wish. Regardless, it's good to see the church give actual cash back to its members.

If I was a member and was a regular collection plate donor, I would likely use the money on myself. Assuming that if I was a regular church goer and a regular donor to the collection plate, I would also be a donor to other charities external to the church, any cash back like that would feel like a deserved blessing.

I guess I'm just cynical. I really wanna see exactly where each penny went.

They need to publish the results

Thank you!!!!! If they were so generous with the needy, why not share your good deeds and bask in the glory of "doing God's work"!!!!

There wasn't enough money for a shopping spree, and probably many people gave the money to worthy causes.

I dunno. I know way too many ladies who'd be in the hair or nail salon within the hour and men who'd be at the bar. That's a shopping spree in my neck of the woods.
