Chaos theory and biblical prophets.

"A butterfly flapping it's wings in Brazil can cause a hurricane in Texas.

Chaos theory precludes anyone be it a biblical prophet or a modern day fortune teller being able to forecast any future event.

Agree ?

Sorry but I have to disagree.
Chaos theory observes that with some systems the outcome are extraordinarily sensitive to initial conditions. In a chaotic system knowing the initial conditions even to a high degree of accuracy will not help you to predict the outcome.
However chaos theory does not state that all systems are chaotic at all times.
Moreover it does not prevent you form making statistical predictions about the outcome of chaotic systems.
And as for biblical prophets - chaos theory says nothing about the limitations of magic.

That;s what I was trying to imply. Take weather for instance. Even with some of the most powerful computers available, meteorologists cannot forecast the weather accurately more than a few days ahead. The weather is a perfect example of chaos theory.
Making statistical predictions is something different altogether. Bookmakers do it all the time.
There is no such thing as magic , only illusion. Ask those well known atheists Penn and Teller.
