The USA government does many things, including killing it's own citizens, that most of us citizens don't like at all. At least, Chomsky and I vehemently disagree with the powers in charge. Unfortunately, we are to few.

Support from the west means the country has a chance to change - without it, there would be honour killings, girl babies killed, and probably much more violence against women

Support is one thing. Not registering the utmost disgust and demanding absolute retribution is another.

@Petter I can only speak for prisons in india - where retribution is swift, harsh and painful.
