I fooled them. I don't have thousands of dollars.

I have not had much experience with scammers. I have purchased things that turned out to be duds, in some way. But, over time i got smarter and I had less of that happen.

I signed up with Plenty of Fish--almost all of them on there are out to get money or access your pictures etc from your files. I have had them ask me to buy them a phone card because they just have to talk to me and it's close to payday--or send me money so I can fly out to meet you--or my car broke down so if you send me money I can come see you. WOW--had one ask me if I had a camera on my computer and did my grandkids run around the house naked. Lots of them wnat cyber sex--all in all not a site I would recommend. Does anyone have a good one for those of us that are over 60? Almost all of them want to know if you own your own home and is it paid off. I don't even bother to answer them, I just block them and move on. Sure is discouraging though.

Nope ....I never send money to someone across town nor ocean. ...but too many females screw as long as I paid their dress barn bill or HBO tv membership. ...love ought to be priceless but both xians and Atheists worship ca$h...then there's the mental illness hidden until after the wedding. ...I am not marrying again unless "she" is more radical / Atheist than I am which takes some doing in her past and current career

I've never been approached by a "potential relationship" scammer but I quite regularly get emails and messages claiming to be from friends saying they've been robbed at gunpoint in foreign lands and desperately need me to transfer money to them. In general, it'll be around £100, as the scammer must think I'm more likely to send a small amount without questioning it.

A male friend did get scammed a few years back, He'd met someone online and was convinced she really was who she claimed to be despite our warnings and so he he sent £500 to her for a flight to the UK... needless to say, she never showed up and he never saw his £500 again either.

I have met many scammers, none of them here. All but one barely got passed "hello". The last was very good, with a weak finish. No sale.
