The Trump tariffs are now being said correctly to be the biggest tax increase in over 30 years. Think on it and you know this is correct. American businesses that do these imports are paying the tariff increases to get the goods here in the first place. The next move is to increase the price of the goods to pay for that increased tariff. This makes the American consumer the one that suffers. Will the Trump tariffs make money for the government? YES, all paid for by the American consumer.
