I wonder if, as far as human personalities goes, things are not like in outer space. What if there was no such things as ups and down?. Only distances and illusions of ups and downs?

@MissKathleen "You have to get to know her to like her" ? Not exactly a flattering comment is it ?.re the lack of bofriend. Are you boasting or complaining ?
@MissKathleen Often thinking one knows another at first blush is the wrong way to go. I learned that from my last relationship. We both agreed that if we had met beforehand we probably wouldn't have gotten together. Long distance relationships and even recommendations fro others who know both parties often work.
@MissKathleen Yes that was my attempt at humour. I appreciate what you are saying and I think it usually takes time to get to know someone. Maybe it is a bit unfair but I find that people that are too open and friendly initially may be a bit shallow ?
