Am I the only one seeing that there is no longer an Anti-Theist label in updating profiles?

WTF, @Admin? That is an important distinction for some of us. Some of us would like that label back (myself included). Please stop changing stuff and not telling anyone. It has caused nothing but problems in the past. Also, if it ain't broke, don't fix it til it is.

Very strange.

Damn it!!! You are correct.
I don't like that, at all.

I had to alter my profile to deliberately include that.

@Admin Is there any particular reason the anti-theist tag has been removed?
I'd very much like it back, please. Along with the puke emoji.
Thanks.

I likewise.

Anti-theist is clearly a tag that means one is not just atheist- neutral but feel actively opposed to religion. It shouldn't have been deleted.

Think I'll change mine to Muffinist. That's from the Last Temple of the Great Black Muffin Mistress. There's a God but She is pissed at humans. Don't brother Her pitiful human.

I lean toward anti-theism, because I think all religions are divisive, and some religions do not include a deity. Many forms of Buddhism, Jainism, and Unitarianism do not involve a deity, but they are still divisive.

If those running this little social network have removed the anti-theist label in order to seem more inclusive, I don't like it.

Anti theist is almost as bad as being an extreem theist . Live and let live I like the term ignostic mentioned by Wurlitzer ( below )

@NoPlanetB I'll never change the mind of a theist and they will never change mine why argue with ignorance . They feel threatened that their religion is under assault .

@NoPlanetB ok

Why are so many people preoccupied with labels? I chose not to believe in gods or religions, shouldn't that be enough?

@TheMiddleWay I am not, your reply is moronic.

@TheMiddleWay they are so not preocupied that they post it for discussion, still moronic.

@TheMiddleWay don't be an idiotic troll.

I hadn't noticed.

Atheist is anti-theist though. Just as Apolitical would be anti-political or any number of examples.

I do believe there’s a subtle but significant difference in those examples. A- is without, anti is against. Atheists can range from antitheist to an apatheist, or ignostic: someone who doesn’t care about theism or thinks the question of theism is nonsensical. An anti theist would be more like TST Satanism, someone who actively takes up the mantle of opposing theism.

Just as being apolitical might mean you have no interest in any political position, but anti political would be more like an anarchist who believes politics itself shouldn’t exist. It’s a difference between not having an opinion or politely passing, and being vehemently against the whole institution’s existence.

I'm an atheist because I don't believe in gods. I'm an anti-theist because I oppose the imposition of religious belief on society as a whole. I oppose legislation based on religious superstition and religious influences on government and education.

I see a major distinction; all anti-theists are atheists, but not all atheists are anti-theists.
