Congressional Republicans seem to have a death wish. They are only interested in holding on to their own personal positions and to partisan power. Led by McConnell, they are refusing to do anything of value for our people, nation, and democracy, and it is becoming more and more obvious to the American people.

They are willfully ignoring the transgressions of Trump against morality, law, our democracy, our nation and our institutions because they think that will appeal to their base and get them re-elected again. But that racist, ethnocentric, xenophobic and fear, hate, and greed driven base is slowly, but consistently shrinking.

Before long, today's Republican party will be known as the dying party of greed, corruption, and lack of courage and moral backbone and the party is likely to become a footnote in history. And they will have earned that fate.

Well put, if that was yours.. They long ago purged moderates from their party, most of those becoming ‘Independent’s.’ Successful Gerrymandering keeps their numbers artificially high. Their ‘real elections’ take place in their primary, where the extremist generally moves on to the general election.

They play ‘hardball politics,’ which excludes weeping democrats, now more ‘the party of women’ than anyone else ... and those ‘independant’s’ admire tuff tactics.. They successfully deprived Obama of the legislation he needed to allow our nation to keep up with others. They own the Supreme Court.. ..and Industry owns them…

With the loss of the Fairness Doctrine and the Citizens United decision, they’re not going away soon. FOX Propaganda motivates their minions, false religion remains their organizing tool - and - they vote - Lock-step.

We can and will roll back corrupt and undemocratic advances.

Let's be realistic.

The Democrats control the House.
The Republicans control the Senate.

The two parties are now so diametrically opposed on so many issues that very little legislation will ever appear on Trump's desk to be signed into law.

The Republicans are poised to lose control of the Senate. When they do lose that control, it will be decades -- if they ever do --- regain control of th Senate or House. Then the rollback at state levels will ensure.

when the repub party becomes a footnote in history the US, for most ppl, will be a very dangerous country to live in.

What a false, stupid stance!

@wordywalt ,
oh well, my stance on the GC was good today. shot 42 for 9 holes.
do you really think all those evangelicals & other fanatical repug supporters will just go quietly?

@callmedubious No,, they won't go quietly. We will have to kick their asses, politically speaking, and we can and will damned well do it.
