SpaceX launched its Falcon Heavy rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, carrying 24 experimental satellites in what Elon Musk's rocket company called one of the most difficult launches it has attempted.
I just love this stuff, have since I was a kid.

Can’t help but admire the progress Americans have made in this regard. A civilian company and not the government is bringing all these space cargo while many countries can’t even launch a decent satellite on their own. Kudos.

a fom works there... that lucky bastard (not really - he's like smart as hell and a supercool guy). mcgregor is like 22 miles from me. i can hear them testing all the time from my house.

I used to live not to far from there back in the late 80's early 90's. Got to see a few shuttle launches back then. Always awe inspiring every time.

If successful we might find new satellites up there to run stuff that will want us to spend more money.
