Trump started calling Biden 1% Joe a while ago - that indicates to me that Trump is worried by him, hence would prefer he was out of the race.
Look how effective his running down of Hilary became - he will try the same with Biden.
Once his first target is dealt with he will turn his attention to others he doesn't want nominated.
Trump may be despicable, but despite what most on here say, he is not stupid - he fights dirty and he fights to win - the childlike shouting match 'debate' of yesterday can only help Trump

He said it himself: "but anyway. My time is up."

The reason that Biden is the front runner is not because of his ideas or how presidential he is. It is because he is the most recognized. He is liked by Democrats, to be sure, but with so many candidates they're pulling attention too thin to focus on any decent alternatives.

The so called Democratic Party members (I have been one for 41 years) are who ever answers the pollsters phone call in select zip codes in some but not all states.....I have known Joe since I met him in 1984 and his only job since age 29 has been inside the US Senate....name recognition is the number one factor measured by pollsters not the tiny audience last night.....Obama elevated him from 4 tiny counties in Delaware summer of '08 that's 11 years of #2 man living for 8 in the Naval Observatory when not riding the train to a tiny catholic hamlet in a duPont owned state.. .100% of the DNC knows and trusts him....all others except Tulsi are/were not on the Democratic NATIONAL Committee.........Biden will always be the front runner until someone like Tulsi makes it stick he is a war criminal

Elizabeth Warren was the top Democrat candidate before the debates.

Kamala Harris impressed me this evening! She is highly intelligent, warm, clear and articulate, and has great stage presence.

@linxminx

Kamala Harris did NOT personally attack Joe Biden.

"In the most riveting moment of the night, Harris pointedly told Biden how much he had hurt her when he had boasted about working with two well-known segregationists and talked about his opposition to busing.

“I do not believe you are a racist,” Harris said, turning to the former vice president and saying she agreed with him on the importance of finding common ground. “But it was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country.”

“It was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose busing, and there was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools and she was bused to school every day, and that little girl was me,” she added.

He might be, but that will be short lived. He did himself no favors tonight. Time to pass the torch. Same with Bernie.

@Athena

The next two generations after the Baby Boom generation. I am a Baby Boomer (middle of the era). I got grilled a couple of months back because I stated that Baby Boomers need to step aside. The Baby Boomers came on and attempted to chastize me for saying this. Lol

@Athena
Neither, Boddegieg or Harris. Neither are Boomers. Harris was born in 1964, the last year considered potentially Boomer (1946-1964).

@t1nick I was born late '63 and don't feel a part of the boomers at all. Much more genX, but also in limbo land, as an older genX.

@CallMeDave
Thank you Dave, my point. Harris was born in 64' and like you is a cusp year.

I was. Shortly after he entered, a poll came out saying he was in the lead. I was like... why? WTF?
