She told me to tell you that she enjoyed talking to you but you making fun of her movie put her over the edge and she drove off a cliff. That is one of the possible answers you were seeking right? 😁 If you've never online dated before this is typical stuff. Droves of people here will tell you how your dodged a bullet, how you're better off without her, she gave you a red flag etc etc etc. There are no internet dating rules. There is no way to know if someone is who they say they are and trust is at a minimum or should be. Wait till you actually meet someone, have what you think is the perfect date and then they tell you that there wasn't enough chemistry. You need a thick skin and no expectations. It'll happen when it happens. Just remember as Gretzky says you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, and if you're interested in dating you can't win if you don't play. p.s. If by chance she actually met someone that evening and took all her social media off so she can concentrate on it, that would be her choice. I posted here that people should be honest if they've met someone else and took all kinds of flak because people supposedly don't like honesty. Unfortunately, if you're looking for etiquette and decorum in online dating you'll be sorely disappointed

Sounds as if you may have narrowly dodged a bullet. Be glad.

If you ever find out...let us know. Maybe she was just playing games from the very start....getting her kicks by winding you up and leading you on. The fact that you were just about to meet up in person seems to indicate that was the case. You only have her word that she was going to meet someone the evening she recommended the movie...the whole thing from beginning to end may have been a fabrication.

Play misty for me?

Cold feet? Just having fun? Who knows what goes on in people's minds? But I do know coming to the point of meeting is where the bluff gets called. Conversations that seemed positive and progressively more trusting suddenly hit a brick wall. And it is apparently just so much easier in 2019 to block, run and disappear.
