I’m in the US and all I can say is: this episode of The Handmaid’s Tale SUCKS.
The only rights that matter seem to be straight white Xtian cis men. And neo-Nazis. It’s disgusting. Then there’s the concentration camps for detainees—and children separated from them—-at the borders.
I’m on the eastern seaboard, in North Carolina. I’m not physically close to done problems, though our state is woefully gerrymandered in favor of Republicans, and we have the KKK around. Cowards in masks.
On the positive side, there’s still beauty to be found. I’m lucky to have beaches to the east, mountains to the west. Good friends, and a fine daughter. Crazy but loyal cousins. And great barbecue! That makes up for a lot, lol.
