Pear shaped women are healthier than apple shaped women, study finds
I could plausibly be described as celery shaped, I guess.
You don't want all that fat smothering your vital organs - that is bad for men and women -- don't really need it layered over your arse,
but hey - I like the taste of apples and pears
My doctor has this on her wall...and yet she offers no real solution to prevent this from happening once a woman reaches menopause...the usual...eat less, move more..sigh
@maturin1919 For many women after menopause, no matter how much they diet and exercise, lack of some hormones and the overproduction of others, cortisol, for instance, keeps weight on certain parts of the body...mostly in the belly. That is why you see such a proliferation of diets and books on how to get rid of this and most do not work. I stated that diet (eat less) and exercise (move more), are obviously the pat solutions but look around...it is not working for many and not because of lack of trying. I think there are better solutions that have to be explored...fasting, keto, carnivore, paleo...things that balance hormonal levels and burn fat. My reply was in no way meant to excuse doing the hard, very hard, work of losing the weight...just the appropriate methodology for this age group.
@MayQueen I have been following Dr. Fung for years...I do IF most days and longer once a month...I totally believe in the science of autophagy....I think that is why I have no wrinkles and don't get sick...my body eats all of the bad stuff! ha ha ha
@MayQueen lol that too...every little thing helps...
