For those who hate comparing Trump to Hitler, look at this:
This is is supported by a 1990’s Vanity Fair interview with Ivanka Trump, where she states Trump kept “My New Order”, all of Hitler’s speeches, in his bed stand drawer. I find this even more disturbing than keeping “Mein Kampf”, as his speeches are far more telling, through their populism, demagoguery and virulent nationalism, and how he used language and imagery to move the masses towards hate. How is it so many miss this connection?

While people think this is a falsehood as she is bitterly divorced from Trump, her account was confirmed by the man who gave Trump the book, Marty Davis. Lastly, Trump admitted having and reading the book himself in an interview with Barbara Walters.

Just got through reading Richatd Wake's historical fiction novel, "Vienna at Nightfall". The book is very well resesrched. It traces the rise of the Nazi Party and the march into Austria.
The Nazis depicted in the novel resemble Trump and his followers as witnessed on TV during his campaign rallies. It also shows a close resemblance between the action of top Nazi officials (including Hitler) and top officials in Trumps Administration. Parallels are scary.

This time last year ..I was deep into ‘the rise & fall of the third reich.’ Figured, with trump in office - I’d better learn how close we are...
My take: trump was too privileged to have developed the internal hatred and envy that drove Hitler. Both Narcissists, trump’s nowhere near as intelligent as Hit. And trump began politics too late.
Similarities: The Republican Party has acted as trump’s equivalent of the Nazi Party - as he’s used their party apparatus to achieve the presidency. Fox Propaganda remains trump’s ministry of the same… trump also delegates others to do his dirty work.. trump emboldens hostile racist youth as his Brown Shirts. Trump has targeted ‘illegal aliens’ - and Arabs as his Jews..
Added up, there are many ..too many solid similarities not to make a valid comparison. The Republican Party's propaganda of Obama being the equivalent of their Hitler was simply projection. The Democrats comparison of their party to Nazi’s and their leader to Hitler are ..dead on ~

I agree about the difference in their background as you elucidated. But there is no one single model for making another Hitler. I agree with all your similarities.
@SeaGreenEyez, my fears, which seem to be coming true, are the use of hate to drive agenda, the suggestion and tolerance of the use of violence to create change, and the use overt propaganda to influence those who either are unable to, or choose not to, think critically for themselves. This has created an environment where people are no longer able to debate and find compromise.
It was not Ivanka, the worshipful daughter, but Ivana, the vengeful ex-wife. Not very credible, as the whole Hitler comparison is neither helpful nor illuminating.

But oh so true unfortunately. He is appearing more Hitler-like all the time.
My mistake, I meant Ivana, I don’t know why I put Ivanka (strange autocorrecta). But regardless of her being the “vengeful ex-wife”, this is something that was corroborated by 2 other people, including Trump himself. And you are right, it is not helpful as we are either too late in identifying it or it is “fake news” for those not wanting to consider the facts and look at history for perspective.
