Does anyone else find it difficult to understand why some interest groups and even purchasing deals are segregated? e.g. Age related arts groups; 2 for one deals that exclude single diners; I even sometimes wonder about race related groups for certain activities. Am I the only one? Is this a contentious issue?
I like 2 for 1 meals - particularly steaks. Here the steak always arrives with fries, onion rings and other stuff I don't want to eat..... on a 2 for 1 I have two juicy steaks, a little salad and leave the rest,
It is all about marketing to a targeted audience. 2 for 1's don't exclude single diners but they do make it more difficult if you don't want to bring a friend. It is non-participation, not exclusion if you don't want to take part in that marketing plan. I have asked about this in some places and they have given me a half price deal if they can.
I have found that many restaurants allow anyone to take advantage of the "senior" meals...they are simply smaller portions...they really can't or won't exclude you if you order from that menu...some placed don't advertise discounts as well for "age"...but will give a discount if you ask...
Seems there is a discount for everything these days...but no thanks, I don't need a discount to Chuckie Cheese no matter what...
The seniors one would work for me too, might ask then
I always wonder why kids' tickets are cheaper than adults for things like movies or events. Seems that childless goers are subsidizing families? Because kids still take up a whole seat. Is that even related to your question? If not, ignore.
Totally pertinent, but I guess they are being paid for by an adult not themselves. Never thought of that one...although I did with taxes
