We used to run into these Judges when I worked for a Battered Women's Shelter in Lowell, MA - they felt it was up to the women to make "nice" with their abuser and the abuse would stop.
Yes we all know way better about abuse than that.
The same goes for rape culture. It's a crime of violence. And it has a high recidivism rate.
There is never an excuse.
Maybe we need to review the ethics of all the judges in this country and start replacing them with better ones.
Maybe we need to start teaching ethics in HS. No one seems to be learning about them.
All lives matter. Not just privileged white ones.

Just another instance of people being people. I am quickly coming to the conclusion that the human race is not worth saving. Every day someone does something worse than the day before.

I never thought I would think that but that is exactly my view. Time for another dominant species maybe.
In cases like that, I must admit that my inner desire is for the bullies to be gang buggered by a group of big, burly gang bangers - white gang bangers so they can't whine prejudice.
