Ok beach fans, I have some advise for you, only saltwater need read any further. Or if you ever plan to be around saltwater.

  1. Don't ever turn your back on the surf.

  2. Don't drive in the water thinking you can get to Ireland (everyone knows you can only get to Hawaii)

  3. If you do go the the beach,(saltwater) make damn sure you didn't park downwind from a dead whale.

  4. Make sure your dog doesn't roll,,,,,never mind,,,,you know the rest. I didn't...........

Driving vehicles on ocean beaches crushes clam beds and other saltwater life. Children and sunbathers have been hit by cars and trucks.

In Washington State, it appalls me that Pacific Ocean beaches are considered a highway, leftover from archaic times.

Now driving on ocean beaches is limited in Washington State. It should be banned.

They will not let them drive on the clambeds. Only the upper part of the beach where there is no sealife.
People have not been run over yet,,,,,,,its happened frequently. I few years back a fellow drove into a group of seabirds intentionally. He spent some time in jail. I've seen really crappy behavior from tourists.

Does anyone need to go to Ireland now? With Brexit more might want to leave.

Ireland isn’t leaving....only the part I live in the British part...Northern Ireland.

@Marionville I read a lot about growing concerns about the situation in your part of the perhaps not so united Kingdom ...

@PontifexMarximus Yes...we’re concerned what will happen on the new border with the EU, which will be 20 miles from here. It has not been resolved yet.

I’m already in Ireland. They actually surf here at a place called Bundoran in Co.Donegal, just across the border from Northern Ireland, where I live ...those huge Atlantic breakers are awesome!

To get to Ireland, you have to drive to the Atlantic ocean, preferably near Nova Scotia; then ust use the Viking route in reverse.
