The conservative scare in our country may be self limiting. When the gun loving Jesus followers have threatened and intimidated all the non whites, they will turn against themselves. Their hate, once directed towards minorities and the weak, will start to be turned inwards and will destroy them.

Actually I have seen this before. When Reagan got elected, he rode the hateful christian fundamentalist vote to victory. Once he started to governing, they started competing with each other, and literally tore each other apart. It has happened once and it will happen again.
