As was mentioned in another post a few days ago, ICE and border patrol ARE detaining and holding legal Americans.
One is 17 year old, born in Dallas.
One is a decorated Marine.
There ARE others.

Some for weeks and months.
They are STILL in custody, despite having
legal documentation of their citizenship.

It's happening, folks.
Racial profiling, the camps, false imprisonment, family separations.
People ARE dying while in custody.

We are NOT better than the nazis.
We've become the nazis.
If you don't see it, it's because you don't want to.
NOT because it's not happening.

The teenager from Dallas was released from custody today.
I hope he sues the shit out of them, and wins.

If the two mentioned are validated, it seems their freedom will be secured. If they’re being used as slave labor to build armaments for our war with ...Mexico, and our nation’s courts are being presided over by Republicans no longer implementing previous laws - but recently implemented laws giving them total control, no appeals, and immediate execution ... that would be different.

Curious, have any large ovens been built?

I’ve noticed this problem from the year ‘migrant workers’ replaced us in the berry fields of Oregon, so continue to pay attention. When it’s not described from a radical perspective, it actually makes sense.

Rather than allowing non-citizens arriving at our border to be given a court date to appear for a hearing, or give birth on US soil, they’re being detained. This being a recent policy, and ‘death camp descriptions’ not having turned them away, it’s been a problem finding facilities.

If such economic opportists were allowed to disappear into the nation, ignoring such ‘court dates,’ as they have for decades … we’d simply have more. Not only detaining recent arrivals, but finding and deporting those having disappeared is a serious task.

If anything puts trump over-the-top in 2020, his attempts to clean up this mess will be it. ...sure would be something if Congress allocated the funds to expand and maintain such facilities for future enforcement, but then this isn’t Nazi Germany, is it.

"...but then this isn’t Nazi Germany, is it."

It sure as hell IS.

There aren't any new laws, we are party to treaties on the treatment of refugees which according to article 6 of the constitution are "the supreme law of the land" it is illegal to abuse asylum seekers and they are guaranteed a hearing. Separating families and imprisoning children to discourage them from seeking asylum is illegal as well as disgusting. It was reaffirmed by a federal judge when Trumps policy was ruled on last year. If Trump can commandeer military funds for his wall he can do the same to meet the legal obligations to provide humane treatment to refugees

@Buttercup Claiming “refugee status” and being a legitimate refugee need to be determined. I’m unaware of any Central American wars. If your concern is with their holding conditions, have you requested your congressional reps appropriate the funding necessary to make them more to your liking? I’ve heard of no deaths, unlike any concentration camp/s I’ve heard of..

If those on the left wouldn’t give such knee-jerk responses ...and actually considered the negative repercussions of unlimited illegal immigration … this issue could be taken from trump & friends and dealt with in a more ..delicate way. As is, they feel they’re not only at war with alien invaders, but with US citizens ..ready to toss their sovereignty in order to poke a Republican in the eye. We lose ~

@Varn the bold type totally convinced me, but show me the part about war being the only criterion in the protocols for the treatment on refugees. If you can't maybe you should write your congressman and ask him to change the law.

@Buttercup Those viewing this issue as merely an opportunity to stick it to the republicans leave out the majority opinion: illegal entry into our nation is illegal. It should not be tolerated, encouraged, or ignored.

Serious enforcement is long overdue. Those preaching the opposite will lose on this issue, taking many hard working Democrats and the legitimate issues they support with them. Again, if you don’t like the conditions of these holding facilities, pressure your congressional reps and this current administration to improve them.

@VarnIt Sorry, I tried to trick you into reading the law
." The Contracting States shall not impose penalties, on account of their illegal entry or presence, on refugees"
Gotcha not sorry hah

@Buttercup ...you sound a bit off.. And have used enough of my time, but would likely make an excellent Exhibit A with regard to those, not wanting a solution to this decades old problem … but a target for their troubled minds..

Well that's what they get for looking like foreigners. America is supposed to be all right when its all white, according to those fuckwits. Citizenship has never been the actual issue.

Family separations are an abuse of refugees in violation of treaty rights as a federal judge has already recently reaffirmed, I want Trump and company tried

They are pieces of shit who are mimicking Nazi behavior. Rrump has always idolized Hitler. The GOP has become the new SS troops along with ICE. This is the new Reich and I hate it.
