What does it mean when men say they are god-fearing men? I have no clue because isn't god based on a gentle creature accepting & forgiveness of all they do? So why god-fearing? I don't understand that at all. They are scared of god? WTF? What am I missing besides their belief?

Good answer. I think you're right.
God Fearing pretty much means that an individual wants their other half to be a Christian who prescribes to the theory of fearing God to avoid Hell. It’s a cliche, but it’s one that prevented me from having a few relationships.

Yes I think that's what they mean. They ask that the woman be god fearing too. Whenever I see that in a profile it turns me off and I avoid that person or tell them I'm non religious and not a suitable match.
God is gentle and loving and wants only what's best for all of us unless you do anything that he disapproves of. Then you're meat to be roasted...forever.
Don't f-ck with god. He'll mess you up. That's why they fear him -- anger management issues.
